The Event Filming Process
Discovery and Planning
During this initial phase, we take time to learn everything about your company and your video goals. We to learn all about your event and get to know the schedule for the day. This helps us prepare a shotlist and determine what other resources we’ll need to make your video come to life.
Production
Our experienced crew takes care of your event filming from start to finish. We have developed a smooth workflow on set with customized checklists to ensure we capture everything down to the littlest detail. Setup and takedown always take place in a timely and respectful manner so that we don’t interrupt the day’s events.
Client Update
Once an event is complete, we will check in with you to let you know how everything went. Communication is very important to us and we want to keep you informed on the highlights of our production. We’re often able to send screenshots of the shoot or behind-the-scenes moments from the day.
Post-Production
We know that time is of the essence and we begin working on your event edit right away. Our videos are edited to match the appropriate size and length for whichever platform you choose to publish on. Event footage can also be uploaded to a video hosting platform or saved onto a hard drive that is shipped or delivered securely.

Our talented team at Winter Summer Media personally handles 95% of all the projects we take on. This includes pre-production, filming, and editing. In some cases, we may bring in trusted specialists to handle the filming aspect at particular remote locations.

We often collaborate with international businesses and video production companies located outside of Canada. Projects can either be filmed and edited in-house, uploaded immediately after filming, or sent by shipping footage on an external hard drive. We also have virtual setup options for our global clients to be present during the shoot which allows them to ask questions for interviews or direct productions remotely.

Our team is available for productions throughout Quebec and Ontario. We are based out of Montreal, Canada, and frequently operate in and around Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto, and beyond.

Our most used cameras for events are the Sony FX3 and A7Siii. These are known to be the best in low-light situations. We are also located very to close an equipment rental company so we have the ability to rent all sorts of cameras, lenses, and specialty equipment when required
